Voting Caden-ism

I took Caden to vote a few days ago at a local church and he always asks what we're doing. I told him that Mommy was going to vote, and that means to make a choice. I was going to make a choice about who will be president. I told him that when he is grown up he can vote too. I didn't know it would stick with him. Today, while eating breakfast, he pipes up with, "Mommy, I'm growing up!" I agreed and he said, "Mommy, I'm growing up so I can vote!"

A Cadenism

Today, Caden saw a little toddler girl and said, "Mommy, it's a little gwiwell! Can I rub her head?"

Sho-Queen!

Caden loves the movie Cars lately and calls Lightning McQueen, Sho-Queen. He recently convinced mommy to buy a Sho-Queen toothbrush too. He notices everything in the store with the Cars characters!

"Caden need med-cine"

I was driving home with Caden last night and I had a bad case of the sneezes. I told him that Mommy was sick. Caden said, "Caden need med-cine." I told him that medicine was for coughs, etc. He paused for a little bit and then forced a tiny cough. LOL!

Mikees Man

There is a whimsical-looking, plump, bearded, older man in overalls that visits the nursery side of the church and plays music for the kids. Caden always talks about Mikees Man (Music Man) every Sunday. Today Caden sang Jesus Loves Me.

"Mommy sing..."

Caden loves songs, and always asks me to sing various songs throughout the day. Usually the song relates to what he is viewing/reading. For example, before his "Finding Nemo" movie, a robot dances on the screen to announce the studio name. He always asks me to sing the Robot song from Barney at this time. There is also a song called, "Goo Goo Ga Ga Gootchy Gootchy Goo" from a music video by Joe Scruggs that we own. He will say, "Mommy sing Ga Ga Gootchy!"

I also love when I am queing up Netflix and the screen goes blank. He says, "What happit?"

Hunder and -Hind

"Where is the ___?" Caden responds to this question by answering "-hind the bed, (sofa, etc)," or "huh-hunder sofa (etc.). It doesn't matter what I am looking for. I wondered out loud where my brush was today and I heard him say in the other room, "hind the bed." :)

Apple Juice

We went to Kohl's yesterday and while in the parking lot, Caden pointed to a large grease stain and said, "spill apple juice!" :)

Caden's birthday bag

Caden has been cracking us up lately with this paper bag that he has adopted. He carries it with him all of the time! He even wanted to take it into Walmart the other day. I told him that he needed to leave it so that he doesn't lose it, and he got upset!

Caden says this at the end of every prayer. He also prayed while he was playing the other day. He said, "Jesus" and mentioned names of friends and family. It brought tears to my eyes!

H-E-B

Caden calls H-E-B ABC. So cute! He thinks that we're going to ABC each time we get in the car to go shopping.

Someone I know!

Caden thought this as he happily yelled "Ee-ee!" and pointed to the box. He thought the little girl was Olivia, his little friend. I took a picture and texted my good friend Ashley--Olivia's mom.

Cuddle a.k.a "Tuddle"

Caden loooves Barney and the Firehouse! We have a ton of Barney movies on Netflix, but this one is his favorite. He requests it all of the time. We take advantage of the time to cuddle with him while watching it. He has started saying, "Tuddle, Daddy, Barney, firetruck!" Many times at night, when he cries while in bed, he will say that little phrase when I go in to comfort him.

Prayers

Caden likes to say his night-time prayers with his Daddy. I tried praying with him, and he said, "No. Daddy, Jesus, amen!"

Date with Daddy

Brad loves to take Caden to the park. Each time we pass the Hewitt park, Caden will cry out "Park, park!" He loves the swings the best.

Stuck in the ball popper!

Caden sticks everything in the ball popper these days. Recently, I laughed so hard to find the bus driver stuck!

Barney lover

Just had to get a picture of the back of my little man watching Barney. I love how chunky he looks. :) Hehe!
